Mission Statement
The EECHS family will provide students with educational and social experiences that will help them become responsible and productive citizens, achieve graduation, and compete globally.

Edgecombe Early College is an innovative, collaborative program between Edgecombe Community College and Edgecombe County Public Schools. Housed on the community college’s Tarboro campus, the program enables students to earn a high school diploma and a community college Associate’s Degree or two years of college credit in five years.

The program serves students in grades 9-13. Keys to its success are small class size and personal attention. Edgecombe Early College is designed to provide students with a more rigorous curriculum and/or for 1st generation college goers.

It is the policy of the Edgecombe County Public School System not to discriminate on the basis of race, ethnic origin, sex, or disability in its educational programs, activities or employment policies as required by Title IX of the 1972 Educational Amendments, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and Title II of the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
